No Win No Fee Agreements
Under a conditional fee agreement (or no-win, no-fee agreement), we will not charge you for the work undertaken on your behalf (basic costs) should your claim be unsuccessful.
Should your claim be successful, we will recover most, if not all, of our legal fees from your opponent(s) along with your compensation.
We recommend that you pursue your claim with the benefit of insurance. If your claim is unsuccessful your insurance policy will cover your opponent's costs, VAT and expenses and in most cases it will also cover the cost of the expenses you incur in investigating your claim.
A conditional fee agreement (or no-win, no-fee agreement) can only be entered into in relation to claims brought in England & Wales.
Some claims brought outside England & Wales can be funded by way of a different type of no-win, no-fee agreement, a contingency fee agreement. Under such an agreement, in the event that a claim is successful, a percentage of the compensation recovered is deducted at the conclusion of the claim to cover legal costs and expenses.
