Belgian Coach Accident

We are extremely pleased to announce the conclusion of the case of Mr Andrew Hardman.  As you may know from our previous case summaries, we have acted for Mr Hardman since 2007 in relation to his claim for personal injury damages following a coach crash in Belgium in June 2007.  Mr Hardman was the co-driver of a coach and at the time of the accident was not driving but was sitting in the co-driver seat.   As a result of a collision, Mr Hardman’s left arm was severed above the elbow and despite surgery, his arm could not be re-attached.

Liability for the accident was admitted some time ago but because of the severe extent of the injuries sustained by Mr Hardman, it has been a long process to ensure all the evidence needed to properly value Mr Hardman’s claim be collected.

Mr Hardman’s case was due to proceed to a 4 day trial in February this year, however a settlement meeting held last week produced a settlement of the matter.

Mr Hardman loved his job as a coach driver, however he can now never return to his former employment of driving and struggles on a daily basis to do simply every day tasks. Mr Hardman is now pleased that he can put the legal case behind him and work towards re-building his life.
