Illness at Hotel Pomorie, Bulgaria

It has been reported that holiday makers have become ill with symptoms of gastric illness after staying at the Pomorie Hotel in Bulgaria in September 2009.

Guests have reportedly become ill with symptoms of gastric illness and a confirmed case of salmonella possibly due to poor standards of hygiene at the hotel. Guests claim that several of the buffet dishes were undercooked including dishes containing eggs. Guests allege that there were insects on and around the food and the restaurant area was dirty. Standards of food preparation were poor.
