Irwin Mitchell has received reports of gastric illness amongst holidaymakers who are returning from the Pliska Hotel, Golden Sands, in Bulgaria during July 2010.
Reports suggest that holidaymakers have become ill with suspected food poisoning, possibly due to the poor food hygiene standards practised at the hotel and and issues with the quality of food consumed at the hotel. Reports have suggested that the hotel provided a very poor selection of food and that the food was left out in the heat which allowed flies to land on the dishes.
Other quality complaints have been made suggesting that the air conditioning units leaked, which would drip onto the beds in the hotel rooms, and on the holidaymakers whilst they were sleeping.
