Cavalieri Hotel Illness
Mr and Mrs Hopkins, from Sheffield, went on holiday to the Cavalieri Hotel, Malta on an all inclusive holiday. During his stay at the hotel Mr Hopkins fell ill with symptoms of diarrhoea, abdominal pain, vomiting and weight loss. His symptoms were so severe that following seeing the hotel doctor he was admitted to the local hospital where he had to remain for the following three days.
The holiday had been booked through Saga Holidays Limited.
Mr Hopkins remained unwell for the rest of the holiday and was unable to enjoy the holiday to the full extent he had hoped.
On return home Mr Hopkins continued to suffer from diarrhoea and stomach pains. For the first six weeks after he returned home Mr Hopkins continued to suffer from the gastric illness contracted.
Their legal action against Saga Holidays Limited remains ongoing.
