A couple who embarked on a world cruise on the cruise liner Arcadia between January and April 2009 have contacted Irwin Mitchell after suffering respiratory problems during and after their cruise.
Mr and Mrs Williams from Sandwich, Kent booked the cruise to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary and this was ruined when Mrs Williams had to be admitted to the ship’s hospital where she was treated with IV drips and medication. She was also diagnosed at the time as suffering from pneumonia however, after further investigation in the UK. Mrs Williams illness was diagnosed as suffering from Legionnaires disease.
