What the experts say about us

Leading the market in terms of exposure, profile and ability... having cornered the market in claims against tour operators and foreign domiciled defendants for accident and group action illness claims arising abroad... the firm is championed by many as the self-styled people's friend.

Illness on board the Thomson Red Sea Magic Cruise

Irwin Mitchell has been approached to act for nine holidaymakers who travelled on board the Red Sea Magic Cruise in December 2010 where guests fell ill with unpleasant gastric illness.

Holidaymakers have told us that they fell ill with gastric symptoms including severe diarrhoea and stomach cramps as well as fever, headaches, shakes, aches and continuing lethargy. The hotel was described as not living up to its star rating, as the food such as turkey was undercooked, not served at the correct temperature, and appeared to be reheated and reserved. The poolside areas were dirty and the water in the adult pool was dirty and cloudy. Faecal matter was also seen in the children’s pool.

Other quality complaints include the fact that clients were served cloudy water in a jug on more than one occasion. The plumbing in the bathroom was also said to be in poor order. Clients have reported an occasion where they drained the water from the bath only for dirty water to come out in the sink.

If you have been affected by gastric illness following a stay at this hotel, you may be able to claim compensation for your ruined holiday and also the pain and suffering caused by the illness.
