Nephtis Cruise Illness

Mr and Mrs Williams, from Sheffield, went on holiday on the Nephtis Cruise up the River Nile, Egypt on an all inclusive holiday. During the cruise both Mr and Mrs Williams fell ill suffering with symptoms of diarrhoea and associated stomach pains.

The holiday had been booked through YouTravel.com.

Both Mr and Mrs Williams fell ill on the third day of their holiday with severe diarrhoea and flu like symptoms. They both remained unwell for the rest of their stay on board the cruise which meant that they were unable to take advantage of the food and entertainment on offer.

Mrs Williams made enquiries with regards to being able to see a doctor on board the cruise ship to be informed that the doctor was unavailable. As such neither Mr Williams nor Mrs Williams were able to seek medical treatment in respect of their symptoms and they had to resort to self medicating.

Both Mr Williams and Mrs Williams continue to suffer from the illness they contracted during their stay on board the Nephtis Cruise and they have both developed irritable bowel syndrome as a result.
