The Specialist International Travel Litigation team at Irwin Mitchell are concerned to read reports of illness on board the Norwegian Spirit cruise liner, operated by Norwegian Cruise Line during its voyage in December 2011.
The Centre for Disease Control has reported that there has been an outbreak of Norovirus on the vessel. This is concerning due to the highly infectious nature of norovirus bacteria, many people are likely to fall ill. Whilst symptoms usually consist of diarrhoea and vomiting, lasting around 48 hours, it has been our experience that vulnerable passengers such as the elderly can suffer from serious long term symptoms.
If you also stayed aboard this cruise liner and suffered gastric illness, Irwin Mitchell’s specialist Travel Litigation team would like to hear from you as you may be able to claim compensation for your ruined holiday, and also, the pain and suffering caused by the illness that you have suffered.
For more advice on making a holiday illness claim, contact us on 0800 056 0066 or complete our enquiry form and we will call you back.
