Irwin Mitchell has received enquiries from holiday makers regarding a cruise ship illness outbreak. Passengers on board the Ocean Village Cruise Ship in February 2010, operated by Ocean Village, say they have been affected by gastric illness.
Over 70 passengers and staff have been affected by gastric illness. Complaints received from passengers suggest that there was a breakdown in health and hygiene standards. Some passengers have complained of dirty cutlery, crockery and glasses as well as food being served uncovered, with new food being added to old.
If you have been affected by gastric illness following a stay on board this ship, you may be able to claim compensation for your ruined holiday and also the pain and suffering caused by the illness.
