Irwin Mitchell has been contacted by holidaymakers who recently stayed at the Paradisus Hotel in Cuba, 2010. They have become very ill after holidaying at the resort and have complained of illness.
Holidaymakers have complained of suffering from diarrhoea, sickness, abdominal pain and nausea whilst on holiday and informed us that their symptoms have continued upon return to the UK.
There have been complaints about the hotel hygiene and food being prepared and kept in poor conditions, for example, food trays left uncovered for a considerable amount of time and the correct service temperature not adhered to. Customers have also said that the general standard of cleanliness at the hotel was very poor. Reports by customers state there was a strong sewage smell around the hotel and the toilets and areas around the swimming pool were very dirty.
