The International Travel Litigation Group at Irwin Mitchell has recently received reports of gastric illness amongst holidaymakers who are returning from the Sandals Royal Hicacos Hotel, located in Punta Hicacos, Cuba.
It has been reported that the food served at the hotel's restaurants is well below par and is often served cold. It has also been suggested that the hot plates and bain-maries used to keep the food warm were not switched on.
It is believed that the illness contracted by holidaymakers at the resort may be due to the poor quality of food and lack of hygiene standards practiced at the hotel.
If you also travelled to this hotel and suffered from gastric illness, Irwin Mitchell would like to hear from you as you may be able to claim compensation for your ruined holiday, and also, the pain and suffering caused by the illness that you sustained.
