Here at Irwin Mitchell we are concerned for holidaymakers who have recently travelled to the Playa Costa Verda resort in Cuba.
Reports suggest that there have been outbreaks of Salmonella at this resort resulting in holidaymakers suffering from high fever and severe diarrhoea. It has been alleged that food was served undercooked at the hotel despite requests for it to be ‘well done’. There have also been complaints about food hygiene standards at the Hotel. Reports would indicate that the cause of the gastric illness may have been due to the poor quality of food and lack of hygiene standards practiced at the hotel.
