Irwin Mitchell is concerned to read further reports of holidaymakers who have recently visited the Louis Pheathan Hotel in Paphos. Recent reports have indicated that holidaymakers who have stayed at the resort in September 2011 are returning suffering with illness symptoms. Irwin Mitchell were also instructed to act on behalf of holidaymakers who experienced problems at this hotel back in the summer of 2005.
We have been instructed to act for one client who contracted an ear infection. A case against the Tour Operator, TUI UK Limited, is being investigated.
Another holidaymaker has reported how they returned from the hotel feeling unwell, suffering from symptoms of tiredness and diarrhoea. After visiting their GP, it was confirmed that they were suffering from Salmonella food poisoning, a food related infection which can leave some victims with permanent symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. The illness is reported to be so severe that the holidaymaker was hospitalised and required time off from work.
It is possible that the illness was contracted due to a breakdown in food handling procedures at the all inclusive resort.
