Irwin Mitchell has received reports of gastric illness amongst holidaymakers who travelled to the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Hotel in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic in January 2010.
It is reported that a number of holidaymakers have been struck by gastric illness with some returning positive diagnoses for both Shigella and Salmonella. It is alleged that food at the hotel was poor and concerns relating to hygiene at the hotel have also been raised.
Irwin Mitchell has previously been successful in securing compensation for holidaymakers who became ill as a result of their stay at a range of hotels within the Barcelo chain in previous years.
