Irwin Mitchell are currently acting for Mr and Mrs Squirrell of Ellesmere Port, Merseyside whose fiftieth wedding anniversary celebration at the Dream Palms Hotel in the Dominican Republic was completely ruined following the onset of illness. During their stay at the hotel both clients fell ill.
Guests at the hotel have complained that there was a breakdown in health and hygiene standards at the hotel. Many holidaymakers reported complaints of undercooked and reheated food being served, as well as food being uncovered for long periods of time.
Mr and Mrs Squirrell suffered symptoms of diarrhoea and stomach cramps during their stay. Further, the clients are continuing to suffer from the illnesses contracted with such illnesses having impacted on their daily lives.
