Irwin Mitchell has been approached to act for holidaymakers who travelled to the Hotel Luperon Beach Resort, in the Dominican Republic in December 2010 where guests fell ill with unpleasant gastric illness.
Holidaymakers have told us that they fell ill with gastric symptoms including diarrhoea and stomach cramps as well as fever and continuing lethargy. The hotel was described as not being of its labelled star rating, as the food was undercooked, reheated and reserved. Pest control was poor with animals being seen in the restaurant and kitchen areas. Consumer websites such as TripAdvisor have only confirmed what holiday makers have told us.
If you have been affected by gastric illness following a stay at this hotel, you may be able to claim compensation for your ruined holiday and also the pain and suffering caused by the illness.
