Bay View Hotel, Sharm El Sheikh

Irwin Mitchell are concerned for holidaymakers who have recently stayed at the Bay View Hotel, in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, after receiving reports of gastric illness amongst guests who visited the hotel in June 2011.

It has been suggested that the food provided at the hotel is poor and that there is issues relating to pest control, with insects seen in and around the food. It has also been suggested that lunch was provided to the holidaymakers to take on an excursion and that the meat had gone over and there was lots of dead insects contaminating the food.

It has also been reported that the room was dirty, with the towels and sheets being heavily stained. It has been suggested that maintenance is poor and that there was a cockroach infestation.

It is possible that the poor food and hygiene procedures may have resulted in the illnesses contracted by holidaymakers.

If you also travelled to this hotel and have subsequently suffered from symptoms of gastric illness, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you if you have suffered from gastric illness after staying at this hotel.
