Irwin Mitchell is extremely concerned to learn that holidaymakers staying at the Movenpick Resort, Taba, in Egypt during November 2011 are allegedly falling ill with symptoms of gastric illness. Even more concerning is the fact that this is the fourth year in a row where we have received similar complaints following holidays taken at this hotel.
We were previously instructed to act on behalf of several different groups of clients following their holidays taken at the five star all inclusive hotel in 2008, 2009 and 2010. These fresh complaints arising in November 2011 would suggest that lessons have not been learned and that this is an ongoing issue.
Symptoms of gastric illness include diarrhoea, vomiting, stomach cramps and vomiting, symptoms which can cause long term damage and result in permeant symptoms of IBS.
It is likely that there have been further failures in relation to food handling and food hygiene standards at the resort which has caused the illnesses complained of.
If you also travelled to this resort and have subsequently suffered from symptoms of gastric illness, Irwin Mitchell, who specialise in dealing with cases of such nature, would like to hear from you if you have suffered from gastric illness after staying at this hotel.
