Illness at Reef Oasis Hotel in Egypt

Published date: 06 Nov 2008

Irwin Mitchell have been approached to act on behalf of holidaymakers who travelled to the Reef Oasis Hotel in Egypt in Summer 2008.

It is alleged that a number of guests became ill with  gastric symptoms such as diarrhoea, vomiting and stomach pain following their stay at this hotel earlier this year.

A number of quality issues in relation to hygiene standards at the hotel are also alleged as we have received reports regarding the poor standards in the restaurant. It is thought  that the food was not served at the correct temperature and left out for long periods of time without being covered. In addition, we have received reports that some of the dishes served in the restaurant were served up again on a different occasion and that freshly cooked dishes were added to old food that had been left out.

Irwin Mitchell would like to hear from anyone affected by this incident.
