It is alleged that guests who stayed at the Excellence Hotel in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in March 2008 became ill with symptoms of gastric illness due to poor hygiene standards maintained by the hotel.
Holidaymakers who travelled to the hotel during this period allege a range of quality issues including food being left out for long periods of time and food which was left to go rotten being served in the hotel restaurant.
It is alleged that a number of guests became ill after eating at the hotel and that they were exposed to serious breaches of health and hygiene standards during their stay.
