Specialist travel litigation solicitors at Irwin Mitchell have received reports of illness amongst holidaymakers at the Uprising Beach Resort, Harpour Coral Coast, Fiji during September 2011.
It is reported that one holidaymaker was bitten over seventy times, believed to be from bed bugs after staying only a few nights at the resort. It has also been reported that they fell ill with symptoms of gastric illness, believed to be food poisoning, possibly as a result of a breakdown in food handling and hygiene procedures at the hotel.
