Irwin Mitchell has received reports that holidaymakers are returning from the Club Med Serre-Chevalier, Alpes Provence, in France, suffering from symptoms of gastric illness. Recent reports of illness relate to holidays taken in January 2011.
It is reported that holidaymakers contracted what is believed to be food poisoning contracted from the food consumed at the hotel. One holidaymaker has described how they were confined to their room for a number of hours as a result of their symptoms and that they were exhausted for the remainder of the holiday. It is also reported that a number of other holidaymakers contracted similar symptoms of illness.
It is reported that holidaymakers sought medical attention whilst in resort.
