Alarmingly, Irwin Mitchell has received further complaints from holidaymakers who travelled to the Diana Sea Resort, Ukunda, in Kenya during August 2011. We previously received complaints from holidaymakers who had stayed at the hotel in October 2010 after their holidays were not of the standards promised. A number of guests who were on the safari have reported symptoms of gastric illness.
Reports suggest that the illnesses contracted may be due to the poor food hygiene and the poor quality of food supplied by the hotel. Food was said to be repetitive and that there was a very limited selection. A few days into the holiday, guests were complaining of stomach cramps, which led to other symptoms. It has been suggested that the food served at the resort is pre-cooked and then re-heated. It is also suggested that some of the meats were served undercooked.
If you also travelled to the Diani Sea Resort and suffered from gastric illness, Irwin Mitchell would like to hear from you as you may be able to claim compensation for your ruined holiday, and also, the pain and suffering caused by the illness that you sustained.
