We have been approached to act on behalf of holiday makers that have become ill with symptoms of food poisoning after staying at the Cliff Bay Hotel in Madeira in February 2010.
Guests have reportedly become ill with symptoms such as sickness and diarrhoea, possibly due to poor standards of hygiene at the hotel. Guests claim that meat items such as chicken were pink when served and many of the buffet dishes were undercooked. Guests have suffered from symptoms such as very bad diarrhoea and vomiting. The hygiene standards were reportedly poor and guests noticed that the food was washed in the local water there even though there was a known problem with the local water there at the time.
Irwin Mitchell would like to hear from anyone affected by this incident.
If you have been affected by gastric illness following a stay at this hotel, you may be able to claim compensation for your ruined holiday and also the pain and suffering caused by the illness.
