Here at Irwin Mitchell, we are concerned for holidaymakers who have recently stayed at or are due to stay at the Sol Mirlos Tordos Hotel, in Palma Nova, Majorca as we have recently read reports of illness at the hotel. Most recent reports of illness relate to holidays taken in May 2011.
It has been suggested by the holidaymaker that the food was lacking in variety and that certain dishes may have been reheated and served again on separate sittings. The holiday report goes on to say that the holidaymakers who had contracted symptoms of illness was required to seek medical attention in resort.
It is possible that the illness contracted at this hotel in Majorca may have been food poisoning, possibly as a result of a lack of food hygiene and food handling procedures maintained at the hotel.
