Merville Beach Hotel, Grand Baie, Mauritius

The International Travel Litigation Team at Irwin Mitchell is worried for holidaymakers travelling to the Merville Beach Hotel, Grand Baie, in Mauritius after receiving reports of illness amongst holidaymakers who stayed at the hotel in September 2011.

It is reported that the food provided by the hotel is repetitive, being mostly the same on each night, which would suggest that food may not be fresh and could be used from previous sittings. It is reported that a couple staying at the hotel fell ill with suspected food poisoning after eating the BBQ chicken.

The illnesses contracted may have been as a result of a breakdown in hygiene standards and food handling procedures at the hotel.

If you also travelled to this hotel and suffered from gastric illness, Irwin Mitchell would like to hear from you as you may be able to claim for your ruined holiday, and also, the pain and suffering caused by the illness that you sustained.
For more advice on making a holiday illness claim, contact Irwin Mitchell on 0800 056 0066 or complete our enquiry form and we will call you back.
