Irwin Mitchell has received reports that holidaymakers who have recently stayed at the Barcelo Costa hotel in Cancun, Mexico are returning suffering from symptoms of gastric illness.
It is reported that holidaymakers were falling ill with severe sickness and diarrhoea at the hotel. It has been suggested that the chicken from the buffet area was pink in colour and was the reason for holidaymakers becoming ill. It is likely that undercooked food and lack of hygiene and food handling procedures at the hotel could be the cause of illness at this resort.
