Irwin Mitchell has received further reports of illness amongst guests who stayed at the Secrets Silversands Riviera Hotel in Mexico during January 2011. The news is particularly alarming as reports of illness were also received in March 2010, when at the time, it was reported that holidaymakers contracted symptoms of gastric illness and a variety of complaints were made regarding standards at the hotel.
More recent reports have indicated that illness, believed to be food poisoning, possibly due to the poor quality of food and standards of hygiene at the hotel is sweeping the resort once again. One holidaymaker has described the incident of an "outbreak of epidemic proportions".
