Irwin Mitchell has been contacted by holidaymakers who stayed at the Hotel Los Gigantes in Tenerife in Spain 2011 and are complaining of suffering illness whilst staying at the holiday resort.
Holiday makers have told us they fell ill with gastric symptoms including diarrhoea, abdominal pain, fever and nausea. Since returning to the UK some are still suffering continuing symptoms of lethargy and headaches.
Many complaints have been made by holidaymakers about the general standard of the hotel. Guests had serious concerns about the food being served in the hotel. Holidaymakers report that food was served at incorrect temperatures and often they were given food such as chicken was undercooked and inedible.
Holidaymakers are also very concerned about the general hygiene of the hotel as they have reported a lack of cleanliness in certain areas of the hotel. Holidaymakers highlighted the bathrooms as a cause for further concern as they were not cleaned to a reasonable standard.
Irwin Mitchell is already representing 75 clients who suffered illness or loss of enjoyment at this resort in 2010. We are concerned to learn that people are still continuing to fall ill at this hotel in 2011.
