Irwin Mitchell is concerned for holidaymakers who have recently travelled or intend to travel to the Houda Golf and Beach Club Resort, located in Monastir, Tunisia after learning that holidaymakers are returning from the resort suffering from symptoms of gastric illness.
Most recent reports of illness are dated September 2010, however, we are acting for clients who holidayed at the Houda Golf & Beach Club in July 2008 and who fell ill with severe gastric symptoms, allegedly as a result of the poor standards of food hygiene at the hotel.
It is alarming to learn that such problems have reoccurred at the hotel, with recent reports suggesting that one holidaymaker contracted salmonella food poisoning whilst pregnant. Salmonella is a serious form of bacterial food poisoning, often as a result of a breakdown in food hygiene procedures. Such an infection can leave permanent symptoms including an alteration of bowel habit, stomach pains and irritable bowel syndrome.
Claims have previously been brought against the Tour Operator, First Choice, who admitted liability in the matter.
Irwin Mitchell would like to hear from you if you have suffered from gastric illness after staying at this hotel as you may be able to claim compensation for your ruined holiday, and also, the pain and suffering caused by the illness that you sustained.
