Art Hotel, Bodrum

Irwin Mitchell has been approached by holidaymakers who have returned from the Art Bodrum Hotel in Bitez, Turkey where their summer holidays were ruined when they suffered gastric illness.

The family, from Lancashire, stayed at the Art Bodrum Hotel in July 2010.  Two members of the family became ill with symptoms of diarrhoea and stomach cramps a few days into their holiday.

The family complained that there were poor food standards at the hotel because the food served uncovered, the meat dishes were unidentifiable and often undercooked.  Pasta dishes were frequently served swimming in oil.  Hot food was very often served barely warm.

The family also say that they complained to the hotel manager, but were told that no other guests had complained.  They knew this was not the case because they had seen several guests complaining to the hotel reception staff about similar problems.  The family also say that they believe that 60% of the guests at the hotel were affected with similar symptoms of illness during their stay at the hotel.

If you have been affected by gastric illness following a stay at the Art Bodrum Hotel, you may be able to claim compensation for your ruined holiday and also the pain and suffering caused by the illness.
