It has previously been reported that holidaymakers suffered unpleasant gastric illness including symptoms of diarrhoea, vomiting, stomach cramps and fever. Some holidaymakers commented on the poor food hygiene standards at the hotel, which included food being served uncovered, food served undercooked and food sometimes appearing to be reheated. Further complaints included food being re-served on more than one occasion and the presence of birds, cats, ants and wasps in the dining area.
