Best Western Hotel, Socorro, New Mexico

Irwin Mitchell has received reports of holidaymakers contracting Legionnaire's disease after staying at the Best Western Hotel in downtown Socorro, in New Mexico during June 2010.

It is reported that holidaymakers became ill with the disease possibly due to breathing or ingesting the contaminated water at the hotel. As a precaution, the hotel has closed the pool and spa areas whilst a thorough cleaning regime is commenced. An inspection of the hotel's water inspection is also being undertaken.

Legionnaire's disease is an acute respiratory infection which can prove to be fatal if not treated quickly.

If you have been affected by symptoms of illness following a stay at the Best Western Hotel in Socorro, you may be able to claim compensation for your ruined holiday and also the pain and suffering caused by the illness.
