LTI Costa Caribe Beach Hotel, Margarita Island, Venezuela

Irwin Mitchell has received reports of holidaymakers becoming ill with symptoms of gastric illness after staying at the LTI Costa Caribe Beach Hotel in the Margarita Islands in February 2010.
 
It is reported that holidaymakers have become ill with symptoms of suspected food poisoning as a result of poor standards of hygiene at the hotel. A number of guests have been affected by this incident and quality issues relating to the hotel are also alleged.
 
Irwin Mitchell has previously pursued actions arising from holidaymakers who have become ill at this hotel in previous years. A Doncaster man was awarded damages in excess of £285,000 after developing serious life changing complications having contracted gastric illness. Irwin Mitchell are also currently acting for a couple who became ill after staying at the hotel last year and were additionally subjected to a violent knife attack whilst taking photographs on the hotel's beach, both sustained horrific injuries as a result.
