It is reported that there have been issues of gastric illness at the Zoura Hotel, Sharm El Sheik, Egypt for guests who stayed at the hotel in January 2008.

Holidaymakers allege that they became ill with symptoms of food poisoning as a result of food consumed at the hotel. They also allege that the hotel was maintained to a poor standard and that guests were exposed to health hazards such as faulty air conditioning and dirty screws protruding from the walls of the hotel room.

It is also alleged that food was served at the incorrect temperature and that flies were seen around food in the hotel restaurant.
