Irwin Mitchell has been instructed by a British woman who was injured whilst on holiday with her family in Mexico.
She had walked to the toilet block by the swimming pool and subsequently slipped on the marble flooring at the toilet entrance due to the floor being wet from swimmers entering the toilet block.
Our client suffered an injury to her back as a result of the fall and has subsequently not been able to carry out the many activities that she was doing before the accident.
She now requires care and assistance with day to day activities and the injury has affected her quality of life.
As the holiday was booked as a package holiday, it is being dealt with under the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992 and the claim is therefore being brought against the tour operator.
Irwin Mitchell secured an agreement of liability between the parties and are now obtaining medical evidence to support the claim.
