We act for a young girl following a tragic road traffic accident in Greece, where her mother, father and brother were all killed. Our client survived the accident although she suffered a severely broken left leg and other injuries.
We successfully pursued our clients claim to a successful outcome through the Greek court and our client was awarded compensation for her loss of dependency on her parents as well as for her own injuries. The case has now gone on to the Appeal court in order to press for bereavement damages for our client who has lost everyone in her immediate family.
The Greek court originally held that she would not be entitled to bereavement damages, but we consider that the court was wrong on this point and have lodged an appeal. We expect a decision before the end of 2011.
