Alexey Maryshev

Published date: 28 Sep 2007

Seventeen British tourists were injured, some seriously when they were on a package holiday to Norway; to see the Horn glacier off the coast of Spitzbergen.

Pieces of a glacier fell into the sea causing a large wave to hit the vessel causing the ship to list, ice also fell onto the deck. The force of the wave caused many passengers to be swept off their feet.

Investigations are underway into whether the Alexey Maryshev ship sailed too close to the Horn Glacier.

We are currently acting for passengers who were injured on the vessel.

I should just like to thank Mark Lee and his team at Irwin Mitchell. I firmly believe that without their expertise and support I would not have received compensation. I now feel that some justice has been done and I can move on with my life.
