Published date:

Our client was a passenger on a flight from Malaga, Spain to London Heathrow and was sitting in an aisle seat.
After the aircraft had been in flight for approximately one hour, a member of the cabin crew approached Our client's seat, pushing a drinks trolley along the aisle. As the member of cabin crew pushed the trolley past her seat, the trolley toppled over, colliding with Our client's right leg, causing her injury.
Our client suffered an injury to her right thigh. She has been left with a tender depression, measuring 9cm across at the junction of the tensor fascia lata muscle with fibrous tissue on the outer side of the thigh. Our clientfurther suffered a transverse fracture through the proximal phalanx of the right middle toe.
The airline admitted liability for bodily injury. The claim settled shortly after issue of proceedings for £10,000.
