Turkish Bus Crash
Irwin Mitchell represented a couple who were holidaying in Turkey in 2001. They were being transported from the Turkish airport to their holiday accommodation, when the transfer bus suffered brake failure and the driver lost control of the vehicle. The bus came off the road and landed on a local beach, before ending up in the sea.
Our clients suffered various physical and psychological injuries.
The Defendant tour operator admitted liability and, following negotiations, Irwin Mitchell was able to settle the claims without going to trial. The couple recovered over £20,000 in compensation, plus their legal costs.
