Kalina Gardens Hotel
Irwin Mitchell acted for a couple whose stay at the Kalina Gardens Hotel in autumn 2006 was ruined when the husband contracted Legionnaires Disease. As a result of a faulty air conditioning unit the husband developed respiratory symptoms. He saw a local doctor but attended his GP when he was still unwell on return home. He was referred to hospital, where tests revealed at he had become infected with Legionella. He was admitted to hospital for a week.
Following negotiations, the Defendant tour operator agreed to pay £4,000 in damages as well as paying the couple's legal costs.
