Mr and Mrs McNulty were on holiday at the Hotel Laguna Mar in Margarita.

During the second week of their holiday Janice McNulty fell ill with gastric illness, with symptoms of diarrhoea, vomiting and abdominal pain.  Michael fell ill with same symptoms 2 days after returning home.

A claim was brought on behalf of Mr & Mrs McNulty by Irwin Mitchell Solicitors against the tour operator, First Choice. Mr McNulty recovered £11,000 in compensation and Mrs McNulty, £10,000.
