Hotel Villa Tagora

The Hume family travelled to the Hotel Villa Tagora in Majorca for a family holiday, Jessica and Connie fell ill 2 days into the holiday with, diarrhoea and sickness and then on the third day their mother Judith fell ill with similar symptoms, the remainder of their holiday was ruined. On return to the UK they visited there GP and have been visiting since with continuing symptoms. Thomas Cook denied liability and proceedings where issued, upon discussions with the Defendants an agreement was reached.
A claim was brought on behalf of the Hume family by Irwin Mitchell Solicitors against the tour operator, Thomas Cook. Compensation was recovered in the sums of £4000 for two of the family, £6000 for a further member and £350 for the final member of the family.
The family commented after the case, “We are so happy that this has come to a successful conclusion after 3 years, Irwin Mitchell have been very professional and always kept us informed of the latest position”
