Irritable Bowel Syndrome Contracted on Holiday Abroad
Mr and Mrs A and their daughter, were on holiday at the Hotel Iberotel Club Fanara in Egypt at the time they contract Irritable Bowel Syndrome. By the third day of the holiday they were all suffering from abdominal pain and diarrhoea. They all suffered from a loss in appetite. Mr and Mrs A had noticed that there were cats and birds in the restaurant and the birds would been seen eating food off serving utensils.
All three clients have been diagnosed with mild Irritable Bowel Syndrome for the foreseeable future. Liability was denied but the Defendant agreed to negotiate settlement of the client’s claims despite their denial. The family received £15,500 in compensation.
