Over £24,000 Awarded for Illness at Aguamar Hotel, Majorca
Mrs Belinda Kavanagh, her husband and two children holidayed at the Hotel Aguamar in Majorca on an all inclusive package with JMC.
On the third day of the holiday Belinda became ill with severe gastric symptoms. The rest of her family became ill soon after. Hundreds of other guests were also affected. Their holidays were completely ruined.
Despite complaints, the hotel manager, Tour operator representatives and local Doctor insisted the illness was caused by a virus.
Belinda’s own doctor diagnosed her with salmonella poisoning. She has never regained full health and is likely to have permanent problems as a result of the holiday illness.
