Illness at Summer Island Village, Maldives
Mr and Mrs Alderson were on holiday at the Summer Island Village in the Maldives. During the second week of the holiday they were both suffering from abdominal pain and diarrhoea and blood in their stools. The clients had noticed that the chicken was very often undercooked and most food was served lukewarm.
Both clients have been diagnosed with mild Irritable bowel syndrome for the foreseeable future.
They received £18,750 in compensation.
