Irwin Mitchell were successful in recovering compensation for 26 holidaymakers following holidays at the Palm Court Hotel, Malta between July and October 2003. 21 of the group of holidaymakers suffered from illness which was attributed to a breakdown in food hygiene procedures at the hotel. The all inclusive holidays were booked with tour operator Malta Bargains Limited.
The holidaymakers complained that food served as part of their all inclusive package was often undercooked and served at the wrong temperature.
Negotiations between Irwin Mitchell and Malta Bargains Limited resulted in tens of thousands of pounds in damages being paid to the group. The tour operator also agreed to cover their legal costs.
