Irwin Mitchell acted for a couple who proceeded with claims following their stay at the El Dorado Spa Hotel in Mexico, in April 2006.
The couple complained that the food served at the Hotel was undercooked, under heated and sometimes appeared recycled. The couple recall that chicken and egg dishes served at the hotel appeared to be undercooked. The couple also felt that they had been misrepresented by the Defendants brochure with regards to the accommodation provided which they felt was of poor standard.
One of the guests suffered from gastric illness whilst staying at the hotel which included symptoms of diarrhoea, vomiting, abdominal pain and hallucinations. It was later confirmed that the guest had contracted salmonella. The guest continues to suffer with abdominal pain and back pain which impacts on their daily life.
