Hotel Villa Tagora
The Hume family travelled to the Hotel Villa Tagora in Majorca for a family holiday.
Jessica and Connie fell ill 2 days into the holiday suffering from diarrhoea and sickness and then on the third day of the holiday their mother Judith also fell ill with similar symptoms. The remainder of the family’s holiday was ruined.
On return to the UK they visited their GP and have been visiting since due to the continuing symptoms they now suffer from. Thomas Cook denied liability and proceedings were issued. After discussions with the Defendants, an agreement was reached.
A claim was brought on behalf of the Hume family by Irwin Mitchell Solicitors against the tour operator, Thomas Cook. Over £10,000.00 was recovered for the family.
The family commented after the case, “We are so happy that this has come to a successful conclusion. Irwin Mitchell have been very professional and always kept us informed of the latest position.”
